Background:

My name is Michele Doyle. My passion is Family History Research and Family Stories.

I have over 30 years of genealogical research experience. My personal projects have taken me to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Ireland, and Wales. With extensive experience in all types of records I am comfortable in all types of record repositories including courthouses, libraries, and archives. I now live in North Carolina and am learning to use local records.

Continuing Education is important to me. I have taken steps over the years to keep my skills up to date.

  • NGS Conferences and Home Study Course

  • ProGen 17 study group

  • Genealogy webinars

  • RootsTech

  • DAR online classes

I am currently involved with FamilySearch as a volunteer research consultant and as a member of a training committee.

I am a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and have presented lectures and workshops to numerous genealogical societies and for local Family History Centers.  Topics include Turning Family Myth into Fact, How to Read Cenus Records, Beginner DNA, Using Church Records, Looking for the Village of your Immigrant.   I can develop topics based on your needs. I would be glad to discuss speaking engagements and/or workshop opportunities.

I have self published a personal family history book, Rowland Jones: From Wales to Pennsylvania. A digital copy can be found at FamilySearch.org.
